Cyclones' Playoff Run Ends with 3-1 Defeat

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Reading Royals (11-6) jumped out to a 2-0 lead and never looked back as they defeated the Cincinnati Cyclones (9-8) by a 3-1 final score at U.S. Bank Arena on Saturday night. Tifu's Late Goal Lifts Royals Over Cyclones, 3-2

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Joel Champagne tipped home the game-winner with just 11 seconds remaining in regulation to lift the Reading Royals (11-5) to a 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Cyclones (9-7) in front of 2,811 at U.S. Bank Arena on Friday night. The triumph gave Reading a 3-1 edge in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Finals. It didn’t take long for the Royals to get out to a two-goal lead.

Cyclones Triumph in Overtime Over Reading, 3-2

CINCINNATI, Ohio – For the third straight game, the Reading Royals (10-5) forced overtime with some third period offense. But unlike the previous two, the Cincinnati Cyclones (9-6) prevailed as Mike Embach buried the game-winner at 16:24 of the extra session to give his team a 3-2 victory. The Cincinnati triumph cut Reading’s best-of-seven series lead in half, at 2-1. With just 1:38 expired in the opening period, the Cyclones took an early edge on forward Dan Eves’ first goal of the playoffs.

READING, Pennsylvania – Alex Berry was in the right place at the right time and buried his second goal of the postseason to lift the Reading Royals (10-4 playoffs) to a 3-2 overtime win over the Cincinnati Cyclones (8-6) in front of 2,839 at Sovereign Center on Sunday evening. The Cyclones scored first for the second game in a row as Mathieu Aubin blasted his sixth goal of the postseason past Riley Gill (W, 44 saves, 7-2) on the power play at 7:56.
