About Sunday Afternoon in Wheeling: The Cyclones scored the first two goals of the game for the twelfth time this season and never looked back as they knocked off the Nailers by a 4-2 final score in front of 2,309 at WesBanco Arena. Matt Smyth earned his first ECHL game-winning goal while Mike Pelech, Mathieu Aubin, Dan Eves, and Smyth all had multi-point games.

About Saturday Night vs. Kalamazoo: Yann Sauve potted the game-winning goal just 38 seconds into overtime as the Wings defeated the Cyclones by a 3-2 final score in front of 9,249 at U.S. Bank Arena. It was the seventh-largest crowd in regular season club history. Mathieu Aubin and Anthony Luciani earned goals for Cincinnati in a losing effort.

About Friday Night vs. Evansville: The Cyclones enjoyed their best offensive output of the season as they defeated the IceMen by a final score of 7-3 in front of 5,010 at U.S. Bank Arena. Rookie Trevor Lewis notched his first pro goal en route to a three-point night while Mike Pelech, Andrew Conboy, David Pacan, and Anthony Luciani all had multi-point efforts as well.

Closing Out a Busy Month: The Cyclones will wrap up their busiest month of the season as they play the final game of January this Thursday at home against the Toledo Walleye. Then, they open the month of February with back-to-back visits to Evansville and Fort Wayne Friday and Saturday. With a win on Thursday, the Clones could earn eight January wins for the fourth time in the last five seasons.

Goin' Streakin: A handful of Cyclones have gone on a tear of late. Mathieu Aubin, Dan Eves, Mike Pelech, and David Pacan have all earned points in five straight games - the most players to have concurrent streaks this season.

A Near Record Night: Last Friday, the Cyclones earned a strong 7-3 win over Evansville - each Cincinnati tally from a different player. It was the first time since February 6, 2008 that the Cyclones have had seven or more different goal scorers in a single game. That night nearly five years ago, eight different Clones scored in an 8-3 win over Mississippi.

200 Strong: On Sunday in Wheeling, Cyclones defenseman Taylor Ellington logged his 200th professional game. Now in his fourth year pro, the Cyclones rear guard has amassed 79 points (22 goals, 57 assists) and 171 penalty minutes. The 24 year old ranks sixth among all ECHL defensemen in points this year (22).
