Gameday Updates from Greenville

This morning, Clones prepared for their Saturday night match-up in Greenville with a standard "morning skate."

The tempo was up and spirits were high as Cincinnati plays its first game since last Saturday.

After the skate, I caught up with Assistant Coach Matt Macdonald, Dan Eves, and Brian Foster...

Speaking of Brian Foster, he'll get the start tonight...Zoltan Hetenyi will back-up.

I know that Coach Skalde has an interest in finding a "number one" guy but with three goalies, that has been a challenge.  Regardless of whether or not "Fozzie" is the official number one...he needs a big game tonight.

Cincinnati will be playing short tonight as Andrew Conboy is still serving the second game of a two-game suspension handed out last week.

Plus, today the Houston Aeros called up Mathieu Aubin, leaving Cincinnati with nine forwards and six defenseman for the match-up in Greenville.  As Coach Macdonald mentioned in the Morning Skate Report, they'll find success if they can get back to playing strong in the defensive end.

We'll be on the air on the Cyclones Radio Network (FM 100 The FAN / America One / starting at 6:40pm TONIGHT!  Be sure to listen in for tonight's Cyclones Rewards Keyword of the Night!  Not a Rewards Member yet?  Visit to sign up for FREE!
