The Cyclones are still enjoying a few days off for the ECHL All-Star Break (sans the game)...and will get back to action on Friday night with the first of two against the Chicago Express.

Some other notes you should be aware of...

- Daniel Koger will make his return to Cincinnati this weekend after more than two weeks withe Providence Bruins.  He didn't get nearly as much ice-time up there that he would have liked, but will see PLENTY this week.  He was one of the most consistent Cyclones before his latest call-up.

- Maury Edwards was called back up again...this time being loaned to the Rochester Americans.  The former Cyclones affiliate was in need of a stable rear guard, and Edwards is that type of player.  He also possesses one heck of a cannon from the point as well.

- Speaking of defensemen...Taylor Aronson's status still remains unknown for now.  He took a heavy hit on Sunday in Wheeling and didn't return to the game.  Being placed on the 3-Day IR the next day doesn't have an effect on his status for tonight...but Coach Skalde and compay will reassess his health on Thursday when the team returns to practice.

- Justin Vaive should be back this weekend as well....he served a two-game suspension for a hit on Sam Ftorek that reportedly cracked a rib and left a concussion.  He's a big guy (literally and figuratively) to have in the lineup.

- Still no word on Brian O'Hanley...he's been on a 25-game PTO (Professional Tryout Agreement) with the Worcester Sharks since before Thanksgiving.  With that PTO nearly at its end, the Sharks will need to make a decision on him...whether it's offer him another PTO, a real contract, or send him back.  We'll find out together.

There is a good chance that the 2013 Winter Classic is going to be held at "The Big House" in Ann Arbor, MI....but there's still a little hang-up...

Had the pleasure of making it to an NHL game last night in Columbus to watch the Jackets battle the Edmonton Oilers...although Taylor Hall was scratched, it's always awesome getting to catch a game at its highest level (despite both teams playing poorly this year). Speaking of the Jackets, NBC Sports had an interesting read on Rick Nash.
